We booked very last minute for a group of 31 of us. We were competing in the Venue Cymru, and everyone was able to check in when it was suitable. We came back after the winning the competition at 12.30 in the morning with a stew and an open bar. The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our... more

on the whole we had a stay. Beautiful breakfast with excellent service , friendly and staff who bend over backward to help. it it a little tired looking in areas but has strong character never the less.(don't be put off by the need for a lick of paint here and there) My daughter of 10 comments "has nice views is... more

We stayed here for one night and were SO happy to be leaving the next day! The hotel is NOTHING like it seems on their website. We didn't know about Tripadvisor before we booked or we wouldn't have wasted our money! The hotel looked ok from the outside but the trouble started as soon as we got inside. Nobody seemed... more

Stayed here overnight during a golfing trip last week. The Hotel is dated, but they are implementing a refurb. programme. Room was clean & adequate with brand new flat screen TV. Staff were really friendly, efficient & helpful. Breakfast was superb. We will have no hesitation in staying there again the next time we are golfing in North Wales more

My partner and I stayed for one night and found the Royal to be excellent value for money. One huge bonus is the two car-parks that it boasts since I found most of the hotels and B and B's in the area offer no parking, or if they do, it's not guaranteed! The lobby was welcoming and it has what... more

I've just stayed at the Royal with my elderly mother and we have had a very nice stay at this hotel. Alright, our room was a bit dated but the overall hotel is a lovely old building with fantastic views across mountain ranges, the bay and the town of Llandudno. The hotel has a really old lift which is delightful.... more

The pictures of the hotel are very mis leading. The bedrooms and bathroom booth need up dating. The breakfast was a let down after reading the menu that states award winning sausages and freshly cooked. All the food is kept warm and the sausages have never seen an award. There was no toast available or tea and coffee we had... more

We stayed for two nights at the Royal Hotel. What a big mistake. We would have been better off sleeping in the car. The room was like a prison cell. No pictures, horrible old furniture, cupboard door kept falling off. The bed was rock hard. The carpet was thread bear. I tripped up and almost went through the window. The... more

My wife and I booked a long weekend away from the city in beautiful Llandudno. The location of the hotel was excellent, the room was beautifully decorated with fantastic views of the town. The staff were extermely welcomimg and made us both feel at home right from the start. The Welsh breakfast served was simply the best breakfast we had... more
