Upon check in I was greeted by an unfriendly chap and completed a registration form and was told that I had to supply my car registration even though I had parked my car off site. The reason for this, in case there is a fire they must know who the owner of the car is, ridiculous. Is there a list... more

Since the early nineties we have often stayed at the AMBASSADOR and for the last five years every MAY and SEPT. In the early years it lived up to its claim of being a family run, clean and friendly hotel. However during the last few years there has been a marked decline in its standards, and during our last stay,... more

After reading some of the reviews posted here was a bit anxious about our pending stay; however when we arrived rooms were clean and of a good (could do with new decor - but thats typical of most of the hotels in LLandudno). Breakfast was very good and eception staff very helpful. Two negatives were having to pay for parking... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Ambassador hotel, we were very apprehensive after reading trip advisor, however for the price we though we would risk it. We booked a double rear facing room through laterooms.com. Its much cheaper to book through an agent than booking directly - strange but true. The hotel is in an... more

I totally agree with Ben from Stoke on Trent, he summed it all up with no exaggeration, this hotel is in desperate need of a total refurbishment and should not open untill it is brought up to acceptable standards, I felt like staying up all night rather than face going into that drab, smelly, rundown bedroom, and the bathroom! well... more

We booked two rooms directly with the hotel who knew we were travelling with two elderly disabled guests, its a shame that they totally ignored this when we booked. The exterior of the was nothing like the internet picture, it is very tired and in need of a paint, the interior was very shabby and the first thing that struck... more

Looking for a hotel with a spa room I found the Ambassador on line. I read the trip advisor reviews and thought this cannot be true can it ? - if you read the bad reviews it's a dump, grumpy staff, run down, dirty, smelly, bad parking, teeny weeny lifts and the list goes on, if its a good review... more

The owners of this hotel are the most uncaring people I have ever had the misfortune to meet. The hotel is run down dirty with threadbare carpets which are dangerous if you mention it to the owners they brush you off and ignore you. The food is an experience not to try a second time yuk. The only good thing... more
