Stayed for 3 nights, not a holiday,on family matters. Agree the Hotel is old and tired and need of a re-vamp. However the rooms were clean, warm, and an excellent view over the sea. The owner/manager was very pleasant. The cost at £50 per room per night including breakfast was reasonable for the area. Two week holiday, no, but for a short... more

What a dire dump!! I know it was a good price £43 per room including breakfast, but I was really disappointed. The hotel is in great need of a full revamp. There is no atmosphere. Staff never around when needed. A can of cider (no Draught) was £2. No ice. Room very small and draughty. Curtains hanging down from the... more

Stayed here over the festive period.. We had read all the previous comments about this hotel and were cautious about what we were going to find. Upon arrival we were greeted politley and given the keys to our room. We paid £50 pn for 2 of us and for this we got a first floor sea view room. We had... more

We booked a one night stay. We did not expect luxury but I was not expecting to see such filth. The person on the front desk quickly checked us in and gave us our key. Our room was on the 3rd floor, it was very small and what was a "double" room was a small 3/4 bed. The bed linen... more

We chose The Elsinore for our two night sojourn in Llandudno on the past recommendation of it being cheap and okay. We checked in with a friendly enough young Asian student type whose English was not fluent but who smiled and commented on the good weather. We hauled luggage up to 3rd floor - the corridors were narrow and like... more

On arrival the steps leading up to the hotel were dirty and didn't seem to have been cleaned for some time. Front gardens were in need of much attention. Pools of water had formed on terrace after heavy rain and this was not cleaned during our five day stay. Our room was basic but clean, windows would not open so... more

Having read some of the previous reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. We booked our break via Travelscene, an internet tour operator. We paid £55 each for a 2 night dinner, bed & breakfast stay. Had no trouble finding the hotel, do some research on the internet before you go, the hotel has a website with a location map.... more

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for one night only...that was more than enough! Took us ages to find as the sign is right at the top of the hotel. We paid £40 for a double room and our friend paid £30 for a single. When we got up to our rooms, his was the same as ours... more

Man in charge when we arrived we could not understand he gave us wrong room booked we had single instead of double room very cramped. We booked for bed and breakfast the breakfast was orange juice, coffee or tea, cornflakes and... more

when i read all the views on this site about the Elsinore Hotel, i seriously concidered not going for our little break, but off we went with baby in tow,we arrived with a lot of trepidation, and yes first looks are not very appealing( the outside could do with a lick of paint) but when we entered the hotel we... more
