Ground floor of hotel quirky and charming but bedroom cold, tatty and not clean. Decor was in a poor condition and skirtings etc. were dirty. My husband was taken poorly on the first night and we ended up in a and e. Still feeling unwell the following morning we decided we should go home. The owners still charged us for the night we couldn't stay, saying they had turned away customers. We saw three other people there and would question that assertion. Had we just decided to move on it would have been fair enough to charge us, but in view of the circumstances thought this was very mean of the owners. more
