The staff are friendly but the hotel policies are not. They are out to wring every penny from you. They charge you £9.99 for 24hrs internet or £7.99 for one hour! Stayed at Novotel Ipswich for 2 nights in May. Used to live in Suffolk. Pleasantly surprised at size of room, clean, comfortable; excellent TV - looked very new. Loaction excellent, two minutes walk to the cinema, resturants, night club etc. Ten minutes walk to Ipswich football stadium, and only about the same walking distance from train station so very central.
