I have eaten twice at The Antelope now and found the staff serving to be friendly& fast. The food was good and great value. The receptionist extremely polite & helpful . The Managers are always friendly and work as hard as their staff which is unusual in this day and age. more

Stayed one night for Business; very central. Had looked at the website and also stayed at one other hotel in this group (Isle of White - fantastic). The room I had, and many of them appear to have. frosted glass in the window. I guess this is because it is overlooked, but most places would have put up net curtains.... more

Firstly i would like to say WHAT A FABULOUS WEEKEND AND STAY WE HAD..... We travelled from london and after a long trip with a two year old it was a welcome sight to see the hotel. It looked quite small from the outside but it was like a tardis when you got inside, it was huge.... the reception staff... more

The hotel corridors were shabby and dingy, the room was dirty and shabby with wallpaper peeling from the walls and the bathroom smelt of damp. There is a function room immediately below the rooms and the noise from the music was so loud that the walls, floor and bed shook. On asking, we were told that the music would continue... more

Hotel is very old, situated in the centre of Poole a short stroll to the quay. The rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are slightly clinical in appearance but are clean, have a good shower and fluffy towels. The manageress was the friendliest person I have ever encountered in a hotel, even showing us the supposedly... more

Found the location and setting perfect for purpose of getting around by foot. We loved how close we were to Quay and to Museum. We shopped all the way to Dolphin Mall by foot along High Street. The shops were charming. The noise at hotel stopped at 11pm and we were left with absolutely no noise all night and we... more

We asked for a large double but were upgraded for free to a family suite which was clean, spacious and comfy. Very pleasing, fully stocked with good music system, TV and nice toiletries. Staff were amazing, especially Sarah in the bar who went to great length to entertain our 2 year old Arthur leaving us to have a relaxed meal.... more

Hotel not too bad , rooms at front of hotel face street and can be noisy at night , we were there on a week end break and got a week end deal and so did our friends , both our rooms were at the front of the hotel and tended to be noisy late at night. The rooms were... more

I have recently come back from a 5 night stay at the Antelope and on the whole my family had an excellent break. We arrived at the hotel at about midday and were advised we could check in at 1.30pm which we had no problem with. I enquired where the carpark was, and was told to use the hotel's carpark... more
