Great room the bathroom was made out as a medieval tent sounds naff but worked really well. The four poster was big and comfortable. The view looked out the front and at the many party goers who were all enjoying themselves. I would stay again in the same type of room as it was lovely but expensive. Food in the... more

We stayed at Walworth Castle as a family member was hosting a 21st birthday party here. We arrived at the castle at about 7.30pm and we were really impressed by its impossing stature. The reception was Ok and the receptionist was freindly and effiecient at check-in. We had booked an executive west wing room, based on the photos on the... more

We stayed for 1 night in a 4 poster room. The hotel from the outside was spectacular, however, once inside the castle it needed some money spending on it. The room was okay, 4 poster bed with the biggest bay window in the north! However, it could have done with a good dust and refurb. The bathroom was nothing special... more

I would like to respond to the previous review entitled 'shocking place'. We recently had our wedding reception at Walworth Castle Hotel and were very pleased with the service we received from the hotel manager, who looked after us through the whole wedding process. The venue was beautiful and overall we couldn't fault anything. The food was excellent and all... more

This has been such a wonderful stay.. I stay away with work about 4 nights a week so I would consider myself to almost be an expert on the good hotel front.. This was a wonderful place. A 12th century castle, the food was wonderful although the restaurant didn’t make that many changes to the menu throughout the week. Although... more

My sister was getting married in this hotel, with over 20 family members paying around £250-300 per night, we where paying huge sums of money to Stay in a fairly mediocore Hotel "The Walworth". They where completly overwelmed by numbers, rooms where on the whole fine but certainly not worth the rate charged, as we where overcharged at every oppurtunity.... more

My boyfriend and I (both early 20s) stayed here for one night for my birthday last year. I have to say I'm shocked at some of the dreadful reviews here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the grounds are lovely . The hotel itself has lots of old features and plenty of character. Our room looked out on the grounds, it... more

Recently I had the misfortune of staying at this Hotel, along with a number of friends and our experience unfortunately mirrors the poor experience of other reviewers on TripAdvisor. In total we booked 6 rooms, and of the 5 rooms in the west wing and the one "suite" delightfully called the "killing fields" all six parties within our group would... more

I thought twice about visiting this place after reading the bad reviews on this site so I booked just the one night to start with. My first impression of the outside of the building was that it was just as nice as the glossy photos, very impressive. So far so good. So I went inside and was greeted by a... more
