my partner and i have just got back from a long weekend at the falcon, we stayed for 3 nights fri till mon,the owners were pleasant and gave us a good welcome,the room we stayed in was just what we needed comfortable bed! deep filled bath which was lovely!! the room was not small it was a good size and... more

Being accustomed to automatic upgrades in the poshest of hotels (The Princes suite in the Trianon Palace is still my favourite), I saw the previous review as a challenge to my stamina, endurance and snobbery, that I really had to accept. I had to find somewhere for a wedding in Taunton and so I had the misfortune of choosing the Falcon. The hotel is a perfectly pleasant manor house type hotel on a main road but the interior doesn't look like it has been touched in perhaps thirty years. Everything is out of date and the place just reeks of lack... more
