This is such a lovely old building in beautiful grounds. We have stayed at Cedar falls over the last 10 years and prior to this visit we stayed 2 years ago when we felt then that the place was starting to really feel shabby & badly managed. We decided this year to give it one last chance! We feel very... more

Very tired looking hotel with very good spa attached. Food barely adequate, so-so service, room frankly disgraceful with cheap carpets and furniture, industrial bathroom with inadequate storage, one bedside table and light for a double bed. The whole place is in dire need of a major revamp. more

I booked at 24 hour get away to Cedar Falls. The staff were certainly friendly and helpful. Food - I agree with the previous comments that it wasn't bad at all but if you're expecting restaurant standards you might be disappointed. Our room was small and comfortable but in need of some updating especially the lowest shower head I've ever... more

Feeling extrmely fraught & in dire need of a break I booked a very last minute 2 night package here and was not at all disappointed. The house & grounds were pleasant, the staff friendly and whilst the food in the restaurant wasnt michelin star it was competently cooked, generously proprtioned & with a reasonably priced wine list - any... more

We booked 2 nights as it was our wedding anniversary at a total of £200 for the 2 nights. This was a Superior Room and whilst it was a nice room and it did overlook the gardens (of sorts – at the end and so also onto a wall/sun room) I did expect slightly better for the money and the... more

Glorious entrance up to a lovely looking house... unfortunately this first impression only adds to the forthcoming dissapointment. We booked two nights at this hotel whilst attending a nearby wedding. At £200 per night i was expecting something special. Unfortunately, the setting and grounds are this hotels limits. The room was tiny with only a very old dribbly shower [dusty... more

First impressions of Cedar Falls is the beautiful entrance, grounds and building itself. However, this quickly changed as we entered the reception. The tired cane furniture was immediately noticeable. The young lady behind the reception was polite and informed the room was ready. She said there were directions to the Churchill room which in fact there wasn't and we spent... more

Stayed with my sister - had a lovely time enjoying her company. Exercise classes great and food good. But room really dustry and old fashioned, receptionist lacked knowledge and a personality on the first day and coffee area staff not helpful - seemed more than their job to make us 2 cappuchinos! Outdoor pool very much in need of updating... more

We had a long weekend visit to Cedar Falls and had a great time. I agree with some of the comments about the bedrooms being a bit old fashioned but they were comfortable and clean. The hotel is charming and the grounds are lovely. I have been to a few health spas and I particularly like the fact that Cedar... more
