My husband and I were in Taunton last year for a friend's wedding and ended up booking a hotel rather later than we should have done. Having rung around pretty much every hotel in town, we were finally pointed in the direction of this little place hidden in the back streets of Taunton, and what a gem it turned out to be.

The hotel (more of a B&B really) is very small with something like six rooms. Ours was large, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a bit small and didn't really fit with the decor but that wasn't an issue at all. The breakfast was great and the staff were helpful. We were really thrilled with our discovery!

I wouldn't normally write up a place this long after staying there but I noticed that nobody had rated it at all which seemed all wrong... so here is the Orchard House's introduction to Trip Advisor - I'd definitely recommend it!
