We only booked a few days before our 2 night stay for a Sunday and Monday night and without any knowledge of either the hotel or the area - however we we arrived our first impressions were extremely good - the location was superb - the hotel terrace and large conservatory overlooked the gardens and the golf course. The staff... more

We stayed here for our anniversary, staying on a Sun and Mon night. There was a wedding reception being held in the hotel on the Sun night, but this did not impose on our stay. The Oak Room fine dining is shut on Sun's, but the carvery resturant was fantastic, food delicious and so resonably priced (5 courses - £15.50... more

Recently stayed on business here and found the hotel comfortable and pleasant. It is unptretentious and 'does what it says on the tin' type of place. Do not expect boutique, it does not profess to be. Will stay again and for what you pay you cannot complain. more

We spent a day at this hotel quite recently - I had booked a Spa Day for my partner and I after looking at their website, which appeared to be quite impressive. I can't comment on the accommodation though. We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and found our way to the Spa (which was at the side... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night as I was working in the area. Its quite a remote location but great breakfast and very comfortable beds. The service was good and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again in the future. more

Stayed overnight meeting friends. Excellent location and surroundings. Found all staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very spacious and although we could hear the noise from the wedding disco below it was very muted and didn't go on late. We had dinner in the Country Kitchen carvery, very good value, bit disappointed the veg was peas... more

We had a tolerable stay with some problems due to the fact we were under the rather mistaken impression that we were the paying guests rather than compromising in favour of giving the hotel staff an easy life in all circumstances such as room re-allocation, reservations, noise from wedding party and guests thereof, expecting two times amenities in a double... more

I stayed at Moor Hall on 6th and 7th July and had a fantastic time. It was a last minute booking as we were supposed to be going to London for my birthday and couldnt due to the bombings. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The carvery was good value £13.50 (I think!) for 4 courses, and the food was... more

I arrived and was told that I had to have a smoking room, even though 3 months previously I had requested a non smoking room. I was part of a wedding party and was horrified to find out that the grooms elderly mother and family had to get dressed in the swimming pool changing rooms as their rooms were not... more
