I was part of a group of 16 who stayed for one night on an organised golf break. The hotel is set in a very pleasant rural area and upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the reception staff. 26 golfers stayed for two nights in this rural part of Essex the hotel had been rennovated and was clean ,well cared for . Dinners despite 90 plus guests were excxellent value a nd on one night the duck was truly as well prepared as at any first claass restaraunt. All staff were easy going and anxious to please more

I have stayed at this hotel and visited the spa for day visits.The swimming pool is looking increasingly shabby and the changing rooms are a disgrace,very dirty.Bins for dirty towels not emptied regularly,shower cubicles not clean,shower dispensers missing.The cleanliness of the spa area is not up to standard and lets the rest of the hotel down.More money needs to be... more
