This B & B is on a country road between Colchester and Halstead - close to major highways yet central to many other small villages. My wife, son and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Riverside Lodge in Earles Colne near Colchester. We found it to be absolutely first class and prices were very competitive. Stayed here several times on business. Quite expensive for what you get, and you have to pay extra for breakfast. However, clean rooms and friendly service and within walking distance of Earls Colne (10-15 minutes along pavement). more
