I have stayed here before and was not overly impressed. The room we had this time was damp. The carpet was wet near the bathroom. The bathroom was dirty and their was mould on the ceiling. This could easily have been cleaned off but was clearly beyond the reach of the staff so they didn't bother. I switched the shower... more

What can you say about a Premier Inn that has not been said before. Pound for pound it is hard to beat. Is this the best hotel in Carlisle? No. Is this a really good stopover on your way to the highlands? Yes. Cheap, good quality, excellent service and surprisingly very good breakfast. Staff very helpful especially in the restaurant... more

Stayed here night before cruise transport pick-up to Southampton.Hotel is pretty much what you'd expect, and having requested a room near the back door for ease of moving luggage our request was met .Check in had a very slow turnaround, we stood for ages. Room was plain and seemed clean enough, bed comfortable. We ate in the bar off the main menu .Food... more

Good value at £60 for an overnight stop. Room is reasonably well equipped with a comfortable bed. Restaurant is good value (but not very inspiring). Convenient location 2 minutes from the M6. However white walls in rooms showed up scuff marks and cobwebs, purple carpets had holes in them, leisure complex and swimming pool are closed. This hotel used to... more

Having stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights, I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. From the helpful staff at reception, the clean and tidy rooms, and breakfast in the morning, we had nothing to complain about. With two young children in tow(ages 5 and 7), it was a very nice touch for them to offer them a goody... more

I stayed here with my husband and I have to say for the money we paid for it - it was a rip off! The staff looked soul destroyed and despite there having been one other family in front of us in the queue to check in, we were there for absolutely ages while they flaffed around with the key... more

A nice, if rather large, hotel with good facilities and excellent staff. Not much in locality but only a few minutes from Carlisle City Centre. more

Great place, about 10 minute drive from City Centre, room was large and well maintained. En-Suite Bathroom was clean. Free parking and a very good Bar & Restaurant on the premises. The folks at the reception were helpful and pleasant at all times. Reasonably priced at £60 a night during weekdays and £57 over weekends. Highly recommended more

We were a little apprehensive about returning to this hotel after reading other reviews, but we decided to book for 4 nights regardless. Our experience this time was very positive. The room was spacious, clean and in good order. The tvs had Freeview so there was a good channel selection but no in room movies. We ate in the bar... more
