read reviews and went with trepidation. No need to worry had a fantastic holiday. Everything was lovely and clean, better than some hotels I have been to. The staff were extremely helpfull and friendly, special thanks to Jackie, always there with a smile. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable and clean. The only thing we saw was slight wear and... more

Average travelling lodge which does the job for a one night stay. Clean enough although could do with a refurbishment, staff are friendly. There is a Costa Coffee next door which does snacks, breakfast rolls, etc Wouldn't recommend staying there for more than one night if visiting the area as you have to travel north to Gretna in Scotland before... more

Just an average Travelodge. Does the job for a one or two night stay. Only problem is that you have to go up and down the motorway as it is only accessible from the southbound carriageway. Room was a bit tired looking but clean and for £30 a night, you can't complain. You do only get what you pay for. more

This was another stopover while touring the UK and this one like most of the others was clean and comfortable. The remote control for the TV had all the buttons worn off but we were able to guess where the necessary controls were. The only drawback for this place was access. if you are travelling north from Carlisle (where we... more

Nicely positioned between 2 exits, so easy to get through, even if you drive on the other side. Nice reception and everything without trouble. room and bathroom clean. No noise (with the window closed). Perhaps a little warm. more

Very hard to spot this travelodge. My younger son saw it out of the corner of his eye as we whizzed past on the northbound side of the M6 - then we had to go practically to the Scottish border before we could turn round. No lift - yet again. Bed fine, but the noise. I might as well have... more

We stayed here on a bargain rate per night and left earlier than booked . It was fairly basic , dated , uncomfortable and you get what you pay for . When you walked out of the front door you was confronted by corrugated steel it felt you was in a third rate place not to mention the site appears... more

We stayed at this Travelodge on our way up to Scotland. We arrived at about midnight and it is a bit worrying to find! You have to travel north past it then turn around at the next junction and its about a mile down the road. We found it and they do clearly explain on the Travelodge site how to... more

To say this is a motorway side lodge the hotel was excellent, nice big clean room, extremley friendly staff, Little chef next door. Only problem was finding the hotel through the roadworks, its on the southbound side of the A74M. You need to drive out if you dont want to eat at little chef, carlisle was 10 minutes drive. more

Not too bad, although cost us GBP55. We booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room with things broken, stains, general feeling of grottiness. Not many choices for a stop half way to Scotland though, so wouldn’t recommend it, but technically everything worked. more
