Nicely positioned between 2 exits, so easy to get through, even if you drive on the other side. Nice reception and everything without trouble. room and bathroom clean. No noise (with the window closed). Perhaps a little warm. more

Very hard to spot this travelodge. My younger son saw it out of the corner of his eye as we whizzed past on the northbound side of the M6 - then we had to go practically to the Scottish border before we could turn round. No lift - yet again. Bed fine, but the noise. I might as well have... more
We stayed here on a bargain rate per night and left earlier than booked . It was fairly basic , dated , uncomfortable and you get what you pay for . When you walked out of the front door you was confronted by corrugated steel it felt you was in a third rate place not to mention the site appears... more
We stayed at this Travelodge on our way up to Scotland. We arrived at about midnight and it is a bit worrying to find! You have to travel north past it then turn around at the next junction and its about a mile down the road. We found it and they do clearly explain on the Travelodge site how to... more
To say this is a motorway side lodge the hotel was excellent, nice big clean room, extremley friendly staff, Little chef next door. Only problem was finding the hotel through the roadworks, its on the southbound side of the A74M. You need to drive out if you dont want to eat at little chef, carlisle was 10 minutes drive. more
Not too bad, although cost us GBP55. We booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room with things broken, stains, general feeling of grottiness. Not many choices for a stop half way to Scotland though, so wouldn’t recommend it, but technically everything worked. more
If you're trying to find this hotel at night, don't bother, it's nigh on impossible. On arrival (finally) I found the room about bearable although I'd rather unroll a sleeping bag in a public toilet than stay here again. There are some hotels a little farther south (about 5 miles) in Carlisle that are easier to find, cleaner and much... more
we stayed here on our way back from the scottish highlands to break our journey. we had our dog with us (for which we paid extra) but the room was awful. dirty net curtains, tv played up, floor didnt appear to have been vaccumed, bin still full and stains on towels. we would never stay in this travel lodge again... more
Stayed on Thurs 15th Sept 2005 for £26 (from their website promotion). For this price cannot complain, although to my eye the room didn't appear THAT clean, and the decor was a bit tired. But fine for a stop over (arrived late, left early on route to Scotland) more
