A great place to stay, particularly if travelling north/south and needing to break the journey near Carlisle and close to the motorway. Comfortable bedroom with adjoining living room, and nice 'extras' such as ground coffee and fresh milk in the room. This place was recommended to me by a friend and we were not disappointed. Paul and Cathy made us feel very welcome and the location was superb. Very reasonable rates for an upmarket B & B more

We stayed here for one night on the way up to Scotland and were delighted. We had a beautiful bedroom, cosy living room and spotless bathroom, wooden beams, comfortable furniture & a great bed. It was easy to find as well. We arrived quite late & didn't want to go out to eat so our lovely hosts gave us takeaway... more
