Reasonably proportioned, well-appointed chalet accessed via the outdoor dining area. Linen and bedding immaculate, decor and fittings modern, ochre. Sanitary room, large shower enclosure with a very powerful, exposed valve thermostatic shower. “An ador One of the most delightful places we have ever stayed”

We wanted somewhere special to stay for our 9th wedding anniversary, and the knife and cleaver certainly gave us something more than special. The village is idyllic ...beautiful and the pub fits well into its surroundings. Our room, number 3, was just amazing, spacious, decorated superbly and great taste. “What a brilliant find - fabulous sun trap on the patio”

Last time we went past this place a couple of years ago it had closed down so happy to find it's now been taken over and renovated. Popped in for a drink as we spotted the patio garden and stayed for Sunday lunch. Great choice on the menu and very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Fabulous place... More

Have stayed here many times over the years and I can honestly say that the new owners have really made the knife and cleaver top notch! Room lovey and spotless, service great.... Lady's serving breakfast were really sweet and nothing was too much trouble.... And for the record... I like my toast in a basket! A****

“Excellent Meal again!”

We visited the Knife and Cleaver Saturday 13th for lunch with family. We took our 5 year old son and he was made to feel extremely welcome. Excellent food, brilliant service and smiles all round! Thanks again Graham and Terry!
