we booked for a short break , enjoyed an easy check in, very clean and comfortable ground floor room with parking right outside the door. The food was excellent, good choice at breakfast and the evening meals were very enjoyable (especially the trifle!). This is a friendly family run inn and we will definitely be returning. more
Well I turned up with my wife as we were passing and fancied some food. Called in and asked for a table and were told in no uncertain terms.... tough. YES tough. No apology, no " maybe you would like to eat in the bar" but NO... no tables.
This wasn't New York or London or Paris...it was Scarborough in a recession!!
