at the foot of the national park just of scalby road there is a farm called coomboots.it has an old smitthy converted into a cottage.large living room,sun room gallery floor with a double room en suite toilet and basin upstairs.if you look out of the velux window you can see scarborough castle.ther is a twin room downstairs,which is why we originally took it,with a large shower room.the kitchen is dated but fully equiped with dishwasher frige and halogen cooker.outside the large sunroom there is a converted stable with washer and seperate dryer and ironing facilities.the owners are fabulous people who always provide a wonderful welcome.they are available when needed but totally invisible at other times.they encourage children to play in the spacious gardens ,be careful with the pond, and interact with the horses dogs,geese and ducks.our girls love it.we have been back loads of times and waking up in the countryside with the swallows nesting in the stables.cup of coffee in hand... more
