We stayed just for one night after two nights in Whitby. The hotel was very impressive from the outside but the reception staff were a little aloof and not over friendly, (the phone call about the theatre was more important than new customers). We took the room which was a family room for two of us, lovely and clean, crisp... more

Well located hotel right in the centre of Scarborough, no sea view but that was not a problem. Room was spacious although the colours are a little well very old hat (reds, yellows etc) soft bed, soft duvet, softer pillows which was a great unexpected bonus. Once again room was big but in need of a revamp!! The pool was fine... more

While this was the least expensive hotel in which we stayed on a recent trip to the UK, we also felt that it was the most overpriced (i.e., provided the poorest value relative to the price paid). Mind you, we were "drop ins," staying for just one night and booking that day through the town's tourist office, so perhaps our... more

We were booked in to room 16; apart from the screeching of the sea-gulls ( helluva annoying but to be expected at the sea-side ) the racket from the swimming-pool ventilation shaft was unbearably noisy; the next room to be offered, one floor above said shaft, was not much quieter; the third room, one floor up again, but further along,... more

Best hotel we've stayed at in Scarborough so far!! We booked in very last minute as we had to move out of our previous hotel because it was pretty appauling! As we were very last minute (and it was a weekend) the only room they had was the Glaisdale Suite - It was great! it had a king size bed... more

My husband and I have just returned from a five day stay at the Palm Court Hotel. We do not normally take holidays in the UK and following the awful weeks weather we were reminded why!! However, we did not feel the least inclined to pack up early and go home (as we have done in the distant past) thanks... more
