Our party of 12 stayed for four nights in November 2009, we came for the dance festival at the Spa ballroom. The Raincliffe is conveniently situated within easy walking distance for the South shore (10mins), town centre (15mins) and Spa ballroom (15mins). Parking costs a reasonable 3 pounds for the duration of your stay (as long as you don't book... more

We recently visited The Raincliffe Hotel to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary, after years of continental travel we decided as we are in our late 70's and early 80's the time had come to have a stress free holiday. We had brought our own children to scarborough as youngsters and had a great time that was 30 or so years... more

I especially enjoyed the friendly and good -humoured Malcolm, the dinners with Katherine, her warm heartedness, readiness to be of help whenever I needed it and the way both accepted me as a member of their family which to me being a solo traveller meant a lot. The food was tasty, healthy and prepared with great care but for me... more

Spent 4 nights here recently on a short autumn break. Thoroughly good value. Gargantuan meals, too much for me really as a senior citizen but my wife always managed to clear her plate! Best described as honest home cooking style rather than fine dining but suspect that this is what most clients here would prefer. Many of the guests were on... more

We throughly enjoyed our stay, it was away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to the centre. Rooms were very clean and the food was well cooked and plentyful. The owners were very welcoming and we will definetly return!! more

I stayed at the Raincliffe on a weekend trip to Scarborough. The owners of the hotel were welcoming and helpful, and gave me information on local things to see and do. The bedroom and the en suite bathroom with shower were both very clean. I've stayed in more expensive hotels that aren't as well maintained. The decor was foral and... more

It is difficult to describe such a nice hotel, the reason is because description alwasy gives nothing about reality. Lets begain with the service, I will give the service 5/5 beause you will never need to ask about something, everything is there. Starting from the reception, When I arrived they welcome me warmly and carried my heavy bag to my... more

Couldn't fault the service, the room or the friendliness. Only stayed one night but the beds were very comfortable and the full English breakfast was superb, if anything a little large for me more

Disc parking on main road and were lucky to get a space - you need to get a disc from the hotel and quickly!! Were ask if we wanted cooked... more

Having been let down by the Hotel we had pre-booked we were directed to the Raincliffe Hotel on Valley Road Sarborough, we were met at the door by the larger than life proprietor...Mal. He assured us we had come to the right place, which turned out to be the truth. A wonderfully lovely place to stay, the rooms were excellent,... more
