We have recently returned from a T&T break at this hotel. There were 48 of us and not one complaint. It was wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful food really good and it was so cosy and warm. A pleasure to be there all the rooms we had were really lovely some with a sea view. So yes we all loved... more

As the previous review we stayed with the same RN reunion, this was our 6th reunion, and was the best we've had so far. All of the staff we most helpful and pleasant going out of their way to help. The table setup for the reunion supper was superb as was the meal. We cannot fault it. The bedrooms and... more

I have just arrived back from a thoroughly enjoyable weekend RN reunion at this hotel. I was initially put off by the adverse comments of some reviewers. Yes it does need sprucing up in places and the pool is small but we are talking about a two star hotel. The price of the hotel for DB&B is incredible, the staff... more

From the minute we walked into the hotel we were met with friendly faces from reception, then again in the restaurant and again when we met the housekeeping staff. Our rooms were perfect, lovely sea view, my partner's and mine had recently been upgraded, but it wouldnt have mattered if it hadnt as we had such a lovely time. The... more

My good lady and i were promised 'one of the best rooms'. We were greeted by a smiling young lady, who spoke in broken english and hadn't a clue about anything other than how... more

Great food, extremely friendly and helpful staff and excellent location. The lounges were somewhat plain and simply furnished, but the bedrooms and dining room were very attractive indeed. A fantastc friendly hotel at a great price !!!!!!! more

Just got back today from weekend stay at Red Lea hotel and have to say was extremely disappointed with our room. The carpets were well worn and dirty , as was the net curtaining at the windows. The room was very small and looked onto back streets, which were disgusting. Windows were old sash windows, which desperately needed a clean... more

Cannot believe we have just spent three nights at the same hotel as the previous review. We had two lovely rooms with sea views, they both had good quality furnishings (one was the room featured on the web site ) and nice bathrooms. The food was good "home cooking" with a different menu each evening. All staff were very efficient... more

Having read the reviews, we still went ahead and booked. Outside hotel looks ok, but inside it is deary, reminded me of a Care Home I looked at once for my parent. Would not stop at Red Lea ever again in fact would not visit Scarborough again, too much like Blackpool in parts. Also in my opinion the hotel is... more
