Very welcoming, clean and cosy, the Alexandra House B&B is well-located less than 5 minutes' walk from the Spa cliff lift. My double room was small but well-presented; the breakfasts were tasty and generous; and Carol and Dave were warm hosts, without being in any way overbearing. I'd stay there again. more

A stay at this beautiful guest house in Scarborough is a must; Tastefully decorated, warm atmostphere and wonderful food. Very close to great walks along the sea front with terrific views. more

Went to Scarborough to Chill out and get some fresh air. Carol made us really welcome, gave lots of good advice when we arrived as well as cake and tea! We stayed at Alexandra House in March.for two nights.We were offred a cup of tea in the comfortable lounge when we arrived, which was accompanied by a delicious piece of fruit cake. Our room was spotless and comfortable,the bathroom likewise. There were numerous thoughtful little refinements,such as the array of locally produced jams and marmalade, which accompanied our ample breakfast.... more

From the moment we arrived,Dave and Carol made sure we were well looked after.Lovely touches such as tea and cake when we arrived most welcomed after the drive. Room was really clean and well presented .Carol made the drinks tray in our room the best we have ever seen with so much choice and lovely biscuits too!!! Breakfast was great... more

This hotel was great. We had really friendly welcome with coffee and cakes on arrival. Room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were top notch. Carol and Dave went out of their way to make it a good stay. Terrifc value for money and it's in a good location for the Esplanade and South Bay beaches more

We stayed with our 4 year old for 2 nights. The owners, Dave and Carol, were wonderful. After a frazzled journey they produced coffee and occupied our daughter while we got our breath back.
