We have stayed with Bev & Phil twice now this year. We just 'walked up' in August, and enjoyed our stay so much we booked ahead for another two nights late in September. We stayed at The Almar in October for 2 nights & was made most welcome by the owners Bev & Phil. Our room was very spacious & light with the most comforable bed! Immaculate presentation of both the room & the whole hotel. Breakfast was beautiful too! Ideal spot for expolring Scarborough! Look forward to our next visit! more
We returned from this guest house yesterday after a two night stay with three children aged 14,12 and 4 years of age. The guest house is well situated for Peaseholme Park although quite a long walk from the South side of Scarborough. If your looking for a small friendly hotel in Scarborouh then look no futher. I have stayed many times at The Almar and Phil and Bev have always made me feel welcome. The rooms are spotless and comfy and nothing is to much trouble. The Breakfast is lovely. Cant wait oo stay again. more

A great little family run hotel in scarborough the owners bev and phil are the nicest people you could meet a must stay hotel in scarborough if you want a good hotel stay at the almar more
