Visted during early evening with my wife and three kids. We stayed at local Travelodge (Newbury Chieveley M4) but ventured out to find a nice pub. Not disappointed. Very welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Small but good choice of real ales and wide variety of food. Value for money. Friendly and efficient service. Will visit again when in the area. more

Don't be put off by the bad reviews, this is a very quaint and friendly place to stay in the heart of the countryside yet still close to the major road links.
