Thankyou Paul Helen and all the staff for a fantastic night. It was our first Burns Night and it was all we exspected and more. The speaker Albert was amazing, the speeches were fun and informative with a Quiz to follow( dont think we did well) I now know alot about Robbie Burns and his adventures . The food was well... More

We participated in a fantastic burns night which consisted of traditional foods and whiskey. The atmosphere was fantastic with people taking part in addressing the haggis and toasting the men and the lassies. Food was fantastic and great value for 16.95. Staff were friendly and very attentive. A great fun filled night. More

Party of 12 stayed, some for 2 nights, others for 1 night. General comments ranged from Landlord/Chef was drunk when he commenced food cooking resulting in burnt overcooked food, too costly for quality of food, Some of the upper rooms were warm to start, then as night progressed, the heating went off, resulting in cold room for night. Drinks very... More

Heating runs to 12.30am throughout the hotel and We asked you if you wished for addition heat in your room as you said you were cold. Your collegues ( the folks going to Austrailia) assured you that the hotel warm enough . It is a pity you did not mention this again as this could have been remedied immeaditely. In... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Bell, having booked over the phone on the strength of the trip advisor rating. The room was clean and cosy but at £65 a night it should have been. We were the only paying customers in the bar on each night (the locals must know something), there was no fire, the drinks were expensive.... More

We booked this inn as we were returning back from a dog training course with our new dog a long way from home so we were looking for somewhere which was dog friendly close to the motorway. The rooms are basic but very warm and clean. We ate at the pub and enjoyed our food. The service was excellent and we... More

A very friendly and welcoming place to stay. The owners (Paul and Helen) made me feel very welcome, such as change from the large corporate style hotels. My room was very pleasant, the food was good and the service quick and effective without being overbearing or too formal. The Christmas decorations gave the place atmosphere. I would stay here again... More

We booked a two-night stay to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary last weekend (November) . The Bell is situated in a lovely quiet part of the country and is very much your traditional British village pub/hotel. The bell is decorated beautifully (especially the hops that grace the walls) and at this time of the year the Xmas decorations further enhance... More

We stayed for two nights in this pretty country pub, having found it through late rooms - it was very good value for what we paid for it. It is a very pretty country pub, covered in flowers when we visited in early October, with a good country pub atmosphere (notwithstanding the inevitable plasma screen in the bar). The staff... More
