Arrived here on a surprise trip as my nan used to live in Folkestone. As soon as we entered the hotel my wife was in tears. The photo's do not do it justice......ITS MUCH WORSE!!! Many of the negative comments from previous reviewers are true, this hotel is in need of attention but they do miss the point. We paid £35 for a large, quiet double room with a large and comfortable double bed. The room could have been cleaner but for goodness sake what can you expect at that price? It was fantastic value!... More

The only plus was that the bed linen was clean ! When approache the staff were aghast that anything was not as it should be. Didn`t push the point as they were totally oblivious . Never asked for a refund, Just handed the keys over and departed . The epitome of seedy and run down .

The service was excellent. The staff and manager were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Room was inexpensive and reasonable for the cost. It has the perfect location with great views of the sea and walking distance to the beach and town. We enjoyed our weekend there.

The Salisbury hotel is right on the sea front in Folkestone. Very handy for the shops etc which are a five minute walk away. Plenty of choice of places to eat nearby.
