We stayed for one night on our travels to the Outer Hebrides, very comfortable stay, rooms clean and a very nice breakfast. Very accommodating making flasks for our further journey. Nice lounge to sit and have drink and If you are lucky you will even get to see the wild deer roaming the garden. more

Upon arrival the proprietors Dennis&Jennifer Grayson's greetings were most warm & friendly making one feel that choice of accommodation was the right one for our holiday. Jennifer took us in hand to showcase the comfortable guest lounge, books, games, nibbles, sweets & complementary sherry on hand. The "McGregor" room we were to occupy was spotlessly clean with a wonderful view across the Clyde... more

I have stayed at the Mayfair on a number of occasions - summer and winter. The hospitality is excellent and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfasts are "the best" and the location is excellent for touring the Cowal peninsula. The hosts are always polite and helpful and always ensure we enjoy our stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending... more

I stay regularly at this hotel for business and cannot find any faults with it. I have been in a number of bedrooms and all are very clean and fresh. The owners are very friendly and always offer an excellent service. I travel alone and like this place because the owners know when your in and it helps me feel... more

We are part of a UK Theatre tour and stay in B & Bs all over the place --and there are usually 8 of us. We were met with a lovely warm welcome, followed by great rooms, fantastic views and a breakfast to die for!! We all descended to breakfast at the same time and were served very quickly as... more

The Proprietors have never been aquainted with the concept of Customer Service - rude, unhelpful and stingy are just some of the words that spring to mind (they have calculated that to turn on the heating costs them one pound per hour plus vat and council charges - which is why they do not have the heating on for more... more

It is inaccurate to say our heating is only on for 1 hour a day. It is on in the morning when guests are getting up and having breakfast and again in the evening. Our normal times for serving breakfast are 8.00 to 9.00 but we offer early breakfasts and frequently serve breakfast at 7.00. These guests were going out...

You will not receive a warm welcome at this B & B, in fact you will not feel any heat at all. The heating is not on at all even when requested by guests. Bring several layers of clothing and a hot water bottle. more

We have taken steps to improve our heating and now have a new, reliable, programmer. Unfortunately, this winter was apparently the coldest in Dunoon for 40 years.
