Hotel is in a lovely spot with stunning views. The room was excellent comfortable well furnished and appointed. However the breakfast while promising croisants and pastries had none and the food was certainly not four star. On arrival we were advised that while we had booked for dinner the chef had called off sick hence no dinner was being offered.... more

We have just had a long weekend at the Hunters Quay, fantastic location - need to remember to book Western Ferries next time rather than the alternative ferry into Dunoon. Hotel staff, food, cleanlness were excellent - just one point for people to note that whilst we were staying the hotel changed ownership and is now owned by a Frenchman... more

We stayed for one night with our two young children. Christine and Graham repeatedly went out of their way to help and make sure we enjoyed our stay. We ate dinner in the hotel, and enjoyed good food in a relaxed environment. We stay in one of the Premier Rooms, and the veiws and quality of the furnishing definitely justified... more

To mark our second wedding anniversary and the news that finally some good weather was on the way I trawled the depths of Trip Advisor to find a nice hotel in Southern Scotland - somewhere we'd never been. My first find was the Corsewall Lighthouse near Stranraer, but the reviews did it no favours so I looked at the top... more

Spent two nights here with my sister and elderly father and in spite of poor weather had a lovely relaxing stay. Our room was enormous with sea view and we enjoyed watching the little ferry boats coming in and out. We ate in the hotel both evenings and had a wonderful meal on both occasions. As well as Christine and... more

In all conscience, how can anyone give this hotel four stars? Really! It's five-star all the way. A beautifully restored house in an unbetterable position by the lochside (only seconds away from the ferry), Hunters Quay is a little gem. The nothing-too-much-trouble attitude starts with the owners and spreads throughout the charming staff. Pre-prandial drinks and dinner are a friendly... more

This 10 bedroom hotel is the best that there is. Christine & Graham make you feel like royalty from the moment you arrive. This hotel is spotless!!!!!!! The rooms are beautiful and very well appointed. This small mansion is in a perfect location and has parking. The food was fantastic and we were all rather disappointed that we were only... more

We recently stayed here along with my sister and her husband and were extremely impressed by what we found. Having decided on the hotel through previous tripadvisor reviews we were not disapointed! Christine, Graham and their staff have done a wonderful job of creating the perfect environment to relax in. The service and attention to detail can not be faulted.... more
