During our 5-week tour of the British Isles there were two places we stayed which stuck out above and beyond all the rest. Milton Cottage was the first. I could not recommend it more.It The cottage is perfectly out of the way so as to leave behind the touristy bustle, but close enough that with a few minutes drive you can be taking in a play, having a lovely dinner at a riverside restaurant or strolling through the mountains taking in some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. The splendor of the location and simple charm of the cottage itself is only part of the benefit of the stay. What makes a stay at Milton truly wonderful is its host, Tyrella. She is more than attentive, a wonderful cook, and quite engaging to spend time with. If you want someplace that feels like home with a warm hearth and a warm friend, this is the place to stay. more
