Just back from a three night stay in the Royal Dunkeld Hotel. Can't get over how friendly and helpful the staff were, nothing seemed to much bother.I also found the standard of food very good. The rooms were clean but a we bit on the small side, still they had all the facilities in the room you would require. All in all a great... more

Although the room itself was OK the bathroom was a disgrace. The shower cubicle (though on the surface clean) was so stained with mould that we did not use it. The linoleum was faded and the paint work was awful. The main part of the hotel was shabby and overall the service was poor. Breakfast on the second day was... more

Three for us stayed here for three nights in June while doing some survey work in the surrounding forests. We were staying in the annexe as the main part was full. This was on a B & B basis @ £45 pp per night. Parking is restricted but we managed to squeeze the vehicles in to a space, there is... more

We stayed here for three nights as part of a fishing party. Unfortunately I had broken my leg two weeks previously so was on crutches. The hotel staff went out of their way to find us a suitable, large and quiet room on the first floor and were on hand to help whenever needed. The food was good and satisfying... more

A group of around 30 friends stayed for the weekend. Not a luxury hotel and not billed as one either. You get good value for money and the amenities you'd expect. Food was of a good standard and service was okay - staff were there if required but pretty much left us to our own devices up in the function... more

We are a fishing forum of guys from all over the UK and of varying ages. This combination of age, youth and location can lead to differing opinions of any hotel, but when we stayed at this hotel Friday 13th and Saturday 14th for our fishing meet/trip there was not one complaint. The food was really top class with a... more

The room was tiny and not very modern or well decorated. The staff were often confused or just unavailable. The bar is often left unattended and so is reception. We asked every day to be moved rooms but because of constant coach parties - which received much higher levels of service than us - we were forced to stay where... more

I stayed at the Royal Dunkeld Hotel for one Saturday night in March, and had the sole use of a twin room in the annexe. This is a block of wooden chalets which look as if they had been transported from a post war holiday camp to the back yard of the hotel. The entrance to each room was down... more

I recently spent 5 nights staying in the Royal Dunkeld Hotel. I found the staff professional and discreet. The hotel were even kind enough to lend me the use of a laptop when I was having problems with mine. A nice hotel in beautiful surroundings. I will be visiting again. J.Lempereur more

Located in the wooded Perthshire glens of Scotland, next to the infamous River Tay, The Royal Dunkeld is the perfect accomodation for any Scottish holiday, whether your interests are swayed towards nature, history, outdoor pursuits, walking or just relaxing in this magnificant scenery. I have recently returned from a few nights stay at the Royal Dunkeld and I am pleased... more
