Stayed here for my wedding in May 2009 and cannot praise the staff highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful. We stayed int he honeymoon suite which was roomy and had a separate dining and sitting area with lovely views over the river at the front of the hotel. Did get changed in one of... more

It is hard to think of a hotel that has a more pleasant setting than the Dunkeld Hilton. Situated in private grounds at the end of a mile long drive, the hotel is located on the banks of the Tay and surrounded by the foothills of the Scottish Highlands. The peace is only disturbed by noise from the nearby A9... more

We stayed in a suite room for one Saturday night on the bank holiday weekend. We arrived in the late afternoon and were offered a whisky or sherry as we checked in, and several helpful staff directed us to our room, which was in an additional building called the General Wade. Our suite was large and with a glorious outlook... more

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of April for a romantic break with my wife. On arrival we were warmly greeted and handed our room keys. We got to our room to find that it was still being cleaned! Not the start that I was looking for. We went for a walk in the grounds which was the... more

Stayed here two years ago and thought we'd give it another go. The hotel is very outdated. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner was tolerable at best. The food was bland, poorly presented and over-priced. The breakfast was a typical Scottish breakfast and hard to screw up. The grounds are beautiful, but save your money and go to... more

Had huge expectations of this hotel, and I was brought down with a bang as soon as i walked in the door and stood at a crowded reception waiting to even be acknowledged, never mind checked-in! Decor shockingly poor, carpets down to thread, hallways and rooms very old and very shabbyy!!! We stayed in "bothy" room which was again so... more

I agree with many of the previous reviewers, this hotel is overpriced & could be so much better. Have now stayed twice, July 2008 for 4 nights and May 2009 while attending a wedding. Our room was comfortable but decor and furniture tired and shabby, bathroom dated, handles had come off wardrobe doors & been crudely replaced. At least the... more

This hotel is past it and too expensive for what they offer, and what they offer is actually not much when you take away the stunning setting. We had room 410 a so called suite what was no more than a poorly decorated, noisey floor boarded room with a balcony and living space. We paid £200 for one night with... more

Really loved it so many plus points, yes can be pricey but we got married there and for no extra charge they upgraded our room to the Atholl suite. Staff friendly and helpful, food good too. I too feel it is a bit pricey but for 16 guests and our accommodation was excellent value more
