The westies and peter were very accommodating, but not intrusive. Great breakfast, particularly the arbroath smokies. Bedroom was clean and well appointed with some lovely antiques. The nearby Indian restaurant is a must for curry lovers too. More

This is my first time writing on tripadvisor but my husband and I felt we would like to thoroughly recommend The Pend to anyone thinking of spending a few days in Dunkeld. This was a return trip for us and though it had been 5 years The Pend was every bit as good as we remembered it. The location is... More

My wife and I stayed her for a night as a get away from Edinburgh for the weekend. What a lovely, welcoming place. We had a really nice, big room on the first floor that was very quiet and awoke to the smell of a fresh breakfast. We spent the day wondering around the sights of Dunkeld and a great... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Pend in September with my son. The welcome and assistance for parking car and storage of bikes was second to none.Rooms were spacious and very comfortable with small fridge, fresh milk and various teas etc.Breakfast was excellent with eggs cooked to perfection and a lovely fruit salad .Only drawback from giving a... How can I put this....incomprehensible, inconceivable, appalling! My friend booked a room on the strength of previous reviews and even spoke with the owner on the phone. All began well with the owner expertly directing our vehicles through the narrow passage to the rear of the building and helping us secure our mountain bikes in his garage. Next we were... More

We stumbled upon this lovely place a rainy evening on our first night in Scotland. We were 3 adults and were shown a lovely room, when it came to Marinas attention that we were one couple and a friend she offered the "single" one to get a room to herself at the same price. In the morning we were served... More

The Pend was spot on for what we needed. Our daughter is 1 years old so we had a good sized room and her cot was in there and the dining room was right next door so after we'd put her down to sleep we went next door for a beautifully cooked meal by Peter which was spot on. Breakfast... More

I stumbled across The Pend website quite a few years ago and have been wanting to stay there ever since. At long last my partner and I found an opportunity to go together with another couple... and we couldn't have been more pleased. We loved our host Peter who had a wry sense of humor and who answered all of... More

As family with 2 young children (age 3 and 5) staying in a guest house can be a bit of a tribulation, but the owner of the Pend could not have been more accomodating - from the moment we emailed to enquire about booking to the moment we left. We were looking for somewhere to break our drive from home... More

The Pend is a wonderful family run B&B. Peter Braney offered to collect us from the train, but since the Scottish Summer weather was cooperative, we walked. We were met at the door by Peter and the 'girls' - Molly and Bridie - very friendly Scottish Terriers who eager for Our room was large and quiet with 2 beds, tea... More
