This b&b was one of the dearest we stayed at in Wales. For our tastes it didnt quite measure up to what we were getting elsewhere. We did not get a cooked breakfast, no wifi, no tv. (both of these should have worked but neither did). The sittingroom was dark, and it did smell musty. bedroom was fine bed was... More

Adrian greeted my taxi and carried up my heavier bag. My room was at the top of the building: the small kitchen area with table, and the bathroom, are on one level, and it’s down some steps into the bedroom, where the small, though digital, TV is. Tall people may not like this room. There’s a kettle, microwave, fridge and... More

what an amazing surprise... everything is fantastic there. Discreet people, amazing food (all coming from mother nature in the garden) Each room is filled with charm. You just want to come again and again to try them all. You'll leave the place totally relaxed, refreshed and reenergized

The first B&B/hotel that we have been to in a long time where we are likely to return. If you are looking for organic whole food cooking, mainly vegetarian, then you can't go wrong. As well as breakfast, we had packed lunches on both days plus the salad platter one night and the hot food platter the other night. Much... More

This B&B is set in a grand old house halfway up a hillside. It's the opposite of a modern chain-hotel experience - lots of character, quirkiness and history. It has very laid-back, slightly hippyish vibe, but not in a self-indulgent way. Our room was enormous, very clean, with beautiful views. Some noise from other guests, but this is true of... More

The Nurtons is located up a lane so it's away from the traffic that is constant in the Wye Valley. It looks out over the beautiful ancient woodlands that cover the sides of the valley. Nice spacious room with the spectacular view though a huge window. Comfortable bed. The supper was fabulous - made with vegetables from the garden -... More

I travelled to the village by train and taxi, but was unable to obtain accommodation in the village. The owner took me to the village by car and collected me later when I had eaten on the first night, which I thought was very kind. I stayed in one of the single rooms in the main house. It had a...
