Recently stayed at The Bridge Bed and Breakfast!!!!! Amazing establishment. Anyone planning a trip to this lovely little town in Wales must stay at the The Bridge!!! It would even be worth re arranging your visit for a time when they can definately accomodate you. As someone that has done a lot of travelling over the years and work in... More

I have had the pleasure to spend about 15 nights at The Bridge over the past 4 months, as a result of business in Hay on Wye, and can 100% recommend Johnny's lovely business. I have to stay away from home 2 or 3 nights most weeks, and this is the only place in 15 years that I have ever... More

Had a lovely stay at the Bridge just before Christmas. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us a few tips for what to do while we were there. It's in a great spot, close to all the bookstores you could ever want! The room was lovely, the beds were very comfy, and there's a small kitchenette for snacks that... More

We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay at The Bridge. Johnny was an excellent and attentive host but we were left in peace to enjoy all our book purchases from the fabulous book shops in Wye! The smell of freshly baked brownies met us on arrival and the welcome was charming and homely. Would definitely return and heartily recommend this... More

For a winter break we chose this B and B for its location in Hay, being very convenient for the town and the river. Our double en-suite room (very good bath) was nicely decorated, very relaxing and comfortable. Local guide book by bed. Very good tea/coffee making facilities next to bedroom (with real coffee). Great breakfast. Parking nearby. Thanks to... More

We have stayed at The Bridge twice now and will go back again. It is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced at £60 double ensuite incl breakfast. Nice touches include a separate adjoining room for tea-making (generous supply of biscuits) with fridge, a selection of DVDs and candles in the stairwell for a cosy feel. The owners Johnny & Catherine, are... More

My partner & I needed a quiet relaxing break to get over the stress of a New Year, and decided, as we had previously visited Hay-On-Wye for the festival, that it would be a lovely place to get away from it all. We were not disappointed! We got a very warm welcome on arrival, and were made to feel right... More

One of the loveliest places we've stayed. So friendly and laid back ('we're just popping out with the kids, will be back in half an hour'), great local knowledge and recommendations ('free car parking just down by the river', 'great atmosphere at the Blue Boar'), comfy room, big bathroom (with plenty of proper toiletries if you've forgotten your shower gel),... Spent 4 nights at the Bridge over the New Year period; a superb break. Really comfortable and cosy (we had the top floor suite, which is beautifully decorated and very roomy for 2!) and the breakfasts were delicious - fresh fruit and yoghurt were a very nice touch, together with the perfectly cooked fried platter of course! Ideal situation for... More

Location is literally about 5 minutes walk from the centre of this lovely book town. The atmosphere is so relaxed, it feels good to be there. Even though it is their family home you feel really welcome. The room we stayed in was spacious and well looked after, very clean and tidy. The shower is awesome! The bed looks oldy... More
