I said I'd be back and I was; this time for the December festival. If you are lucky enough to be able to book in at the Seven Stars then why on earth would you stay anywhere else? The welcome was as warm as always and despite the foul weather the stay was everything we have come to expect over... more

The service recieved was very friendly. My room was full of character and immaculately clean. By far one of the best breakfasts due choice and quality. Lovely sized pool. Brilliant town of books in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommended. more

My partner and I stay at the Seven Stars every year when we visit Hay to buy books. We travel from the Lake District - a very long way - and would not consider staying anywhere else, which is a testament to the all round excellent experience we have at the B&B. We have always found the staff very friendly... more

We have just returned from another lovely weekend at The Seven Stars. The breakfast yet again didn't fail to delight. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs looked too pretty to eat, but I did ! The full breakfast was enjoyed with its generous portions and locally selected ingredients, the bacon was easily the best we have had any where and the... more

Disappointing. We looked for a hotel with location, and found one. But it had nothing else. What it did have was paper thin walls (we learned to distinguish between our neighbours' snores quite well), windows that couldn't be shut (we were on the main road), a bath (no shower), a sadly lacking breakfast (unless volume is all that matters to... more

It is a suprise to see criticism from this customer who did not raise his concerns with us during his stay. He did raise the issue of his "American Express" card. We do not accept this card. My web page does not state that I accept this card. I have no control over other web pages. There is a cash...

The swimming pool was great water was very warm and it was not crowded we often had it to ourselves and no chidren's swimming lessons etc! The breakfeasts... more

Stayed one night and were wondering how pool was going to be fitted in. its an annexe out the back so we didn't try it. This place is what it says, a B&B - not a hotel or pub. Just rooms and a breakfast area, but obviously was a pub or hotel at some time in the past. An old... more

I stayed three nights with my mother in Room 9, which is a suite consisting of a single and a double with en-suite and private sitting room. We were met by one of the owners who was friendly and informative. The B&B is perfectly placed for everything in Hay, being right at it's centre. Our rooms were bright, airy and... more

Spent an excellent weekend with the Caterpillar Walking Club at The Seven Stars from October 10th to the 13th October. The 16 people who stayed , either for 2 or 3 nights, had a very enjoyable time. The breakfasts wer excellent, with a very wide choice of food. Our Club stays at many B & B's throughout the year &... more

The good points about the Seven Stars are that it is in a good location, right in the centre of Hay on Wye with a fantastic restaurant just a few doors down: The Three Tuns... and also river walks just round the corner. There are lovely old beams throughout the B & B. There were fresh towels and clean sheets... more
