We stayed from the 14th-16th October 2011. This is our fith stay in 6 years. Dawn and Steve are amazing hosts. Super friendly and approachable. Would love to return for a longer stay. Dawn and Steve are charming and delightful hosts. They took the time to show me around their beautifully restored 300 year old house and grounds. They provided great ideas on "hidden" things to do in town and the surrounds. The Start B&B is a perfectly charming place overlooking the river with loads... More

From the minute we got there we were welcomed into Dawn and Steve's home. The rooms were great and comfortable and the breakfasts were magnificent. A lovely place to stay with lovely people. Wonderful breakfasts - fresh eggs from 'the girls' in the garden and laverbread too. Slept very well in a snuggly bed in a room overlooking the river. Dawn and Steve were so friendly and couldn't have done more. We were so pleased we re-booked for next year before we left. More

From the first phonecall to the greeting, to being shown the room was a great experience. A breakfast to die for. Nothing was to much trouble. Dawn and Steve have a lovely home that they choose to share, its not just a BB. You must try the cider and of course Dawns Jams. Thank you for a great get away... More

Great B&B! Very short walk into town; informative helpful owners; lovely view of river; good breakfast; very clean; homey. Our family filled all three rooms and it was great to have the place to ourselves. Owners gave us great guidance about walks. Chicks and ducklings in the backyard were a bonus. Will definitely stay again if we ever make it... More
