We have stayed at this hotel before and if anything it improves everytime we go there. The hosts Pat and Joan Chapman are always so welcoming and we have recommended this hotel to many others. In fact, we would not stay anywhere else. The hotel has such charm and also old world elegance and extremely comfortable. The full Derbyshire breakfast... more

This Victorian Guest House has been beautiffuly re-furbished by the present owners. The room was very comfortable and had plenty of space for a weekend break. The view over gardens to the Opera House was supurb. The breakfast was excellent - one of the best we have had (including the service!) Would recommend this Guest House to anyone! more

Stayed 2 nights with our friends, Pat and Joan are a very friendly couple and run this lovely B & B to perfection. Excellent breakfast, rooms very clean and well decorated in keeping with the beautiful building. We had a pavilion room overlooking the park which was an added bonus. Very near to all attractions, eateries and pubs. Deserves a... more

My wife and I stayed here just for one night as we were going to a concert at the opera house, we cannot say anything bad about our stay at all. We thought the price was reasonable, taking in to account of it's wonderful location, just a short and very pleasant walk away from the town's bar's and restaurants, meaning... more

We were in Buxton for a friend's wedding and not wanting to pay another £100 to stay in the Old Hall Hotel, just down the bottom of the road, I decided to contact the Grosvenor House, via my friend's B&B list. After moving all but 50 feet to arrive at the front door, we were shown to the resident's lounge... more

I took my fiancé away for his birthday on Saturday 17th January 2009 and booked one night at The Grosvenor as we love the Peak District. Although the weather that weekend left a lot to be desired, the B&B and surroundings more than made up for it. Pat & Joan are a lovely, attentive, friendly couple who looked after us... more

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights over Easter. We found that the Grosvenor House is a very nice and clean Bed & Breakfast. It is located right opposite the Pavilion gardens in a quiet street. All the shops and attractions of Buxton are just a stone's throw away. The owners really made the most out of this Victorian... more
