I can,t fault the hotel, as travelodges go it was ok, If you stay there, you may need earplugs as the " boy racers" like to blast their engines around the leisure complex car park.!! more

I was shocked when I booked into this hotel. At first me and my colleague couldn't even find the receptionist for about 15 minutes as she was away from her desk and had left a untidy hand written 'be right back' message. Then when she came down she said 'Are you booking in?'. We said 'yes' and she was like... more

Although a warning was posted that some noise could be heard from a nearby nightclub, the 2 large well known night clubs were on the far side of the leisure complex, which included a bowling alley, fitness club, cinema and various adult eating places. The actual noise (which included strong swear words) came from the adults using the complex between... more

Just had a horrendous stay at this asylum. Got woken up at 2.00am till about five by what can only be described as screaming bashees. Is it because you are surrounded by nightclubs, fast food joints, fitness suites etc that causes the many problems? When I opened the window for some air, did'nt know what was worse, the incessant hum of the unit... more

Unless you a totally desperate, DO NOT stay at this hotel, dirty blue carpets, marks on walls, very old small 15" TV, sagging beds, unbelievably filthy toilet & bathroom, my shower barely worked, shower curtain had a filthy line of grime at the bottom. One towel is provided as standard & even that had marks on it. You get the... more

Just stayed there one night. Very basic, no frills hotel, but it's not worth its price. No one to contact in case of emergency during the nigth. Clean rooms. However, I will stay away from it in the future. more

Stayed here with family for one night after a wedding reception nearby. Wanted to check in after ceremony but before meal but was informed on arrival that that would mean paying an extra £10. Explained that we didn't actually want the room just wanted to check in to avoid the hassle later but unfortunately, their computer system doesn't allow that.... more

Walked into Reception to be met with a piece of paper that explained there was no one to serve me because they were elsewhere attending to another customer. There wasn't anyone in sight. Had they been gone two minutes in an hour? Would they be back in two minutes or an hour to check me in? I must have been... more

I booked online on their website, they took my money immediately. When I turned up at 10.45pm after a long drive - the hotel was overbooked. All they could offer was the Southend hotel, 10 miles away - but back through bad traffic in the morning. So travellers beware, just because you have a confirmation and have paid your money... more
