Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is clean and tidy BUT seriously needs updating...it must be one of the first Premier Inns and still has all of those original characteristics.....HOWEVER, they also have someone called GINA working there. The BEST people make the BIGGEST difference to any business and if Gina lived anywhere near our business outlets, myself and my colleagues would give her a job. A priceless addition to your hotel!

I chose this hotel as past history with Premier Inn has always been good, and a bonus having a pub/restaurant always adjacent to the hotel! Also my work contract was a 100 yards away so big influence lol 😁

The hotel staff were friendly but the room 211 was awful. The toilet had mold behind it, the wood on frames and skirting was flaking off, the bathroom paint was peeling off. The plug in the bathroom would not open so a member of staff gave me a knife to flick it open. The carpet was mucky. Just poor. The staff were lovely tho

When I am in Rayleigh for leisure or business I always stay at this hotel. Its location and value for money is excellent. The rooms are always warm and spotless. I always feel safe travelling on my own and staying here. A little gem on the edge of Rayleigh.

Stayed here for new years, we went to friends for a party and as like many guests returned around 2:30. Only when we arrived back we were met with a woman and two teenage girls stuck outside as nobody was on reception, we pressed the intercom multiple times and knocked on fire doors etc. There was nobody around, we even went to harvester to see if the member of staff was in there as I think their staff was in having a drink still, the member of staff was nowhere to be found. Half hour had passed and another couple arrived so the numbers of stranded guests was growing, another 20 minutes passed and lucky for us a guest had heard us banging and came out for a smoke saving us. Still no sign of the receptionist!! After our tarnished sleep due to being stuck in the cold for an hour longer than planned we got ready to leave, while leaving we spoke with a now present member off staff telling them what happened, the lady in questioned was incredibly dismissive and short trying to make an excuse that the member of staff was off sorting out a heating issue for an hour. This was obviously a lie and they had clearly fallen asleep somewhere. Since this my wife has left two lots of feedback with no response and this was left 4 weeks ago, clearly premier inn are so big now that guest safety and happiness is not important to them so I would recommend the nearest hostel before choosing premier inn again.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel. Stayed for two nights. Beds always comfy. Hotel a tad dated from the outside and could do with few newer bits inside. Definitely missed a bath after a day of workouts, but nice powerful shower.

Really helpful and friendly colleagues, from the moment we checked in, to the service we received at breakfast the next day. Great service, good size room and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed here to attend a family function in Rayleigh. The hotel itself is a state Premier Inn, but the staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The highlight was breakfast though, there were 8 of us and the breakfast was cooked to order, we were able to put the tables together and the waitress was so helpful and friendly. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had, the scrambled eggs were perfect.
