At the rear of the Holiday Inn Ashford Central is a grassed area with some tables and chairs for guests to enjoy a drink. Around the seating area are hanging flower baskets. The baskets are almost dead - no one has bothered to water them. This, in essence, symbolises this hotel. I last stayed here 18 months ago. At that... more

I stayed there for a week on business, and was disappointed. The building is attractive with only two stories and a courtyard, and my room was quiet although the site is on a busy road. However service was generally poor. Reception tried to be helpful but were incompetent, eg repeatedly getting names wrong. The restaurant service was slow even at... more

My sister and I stayed for a weekend break from Friday 11 - Sunday 13 April, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and it was fine. Having read about the dreaded fortnightly disco, we checked that it didn't coincide with our dates and were careful to request a quiet room anyway, which we were duly allocated. I also enquired... more

What a welcome - receptionist on arrival gave such a warm welcome and speedy check-in with no queues. Offered to book a table in the restaurant, then told us we'd received a complimentary upgrade. Food was great - ate in the bar in the evening, and restaurant in the morning - no complaints, good choice an quality. Definitely recommended! more

Rooms are ok and heating worked but the restaurant service is awful. Left waiting to get into breakfast for 10 mins all tables full of rubish and no staff to clear, No apologies dreadfull. Evening service better but food only ok more

We booked for a Friday and Saturday night here whilst visiting relatives. First shocker - from Jan 08 this hotel runs an over 30 disco from 9pm until 2am EVERY OTHER FRIDAY NIGHT for 2008. So, consequently, you are woken with a constant stream of 'guests' return to rooms throughout the night with the usual considerate 'slam of the door'.... more

We stayed here on the way to the tunnel, the room was fine and everything seem to be in order. The check in staff were friendly however I had to ask two different members of staff for more pillows, but they never arrived. The breakfast was top quality. I would stay here again. more

I booked this hotel a couple of weeks before our stay as an overnight stop before going on the eurostar to Disneyland Paris. I used their eurostar package which included a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, breakfast, car parking for up to 7 days and a taxi to the station. Arriving about 10pm the check in was... more
