We stayed at the Lanes for the weekend as a group of friend to celebrate a special birthday and had a wonderful time. The Rooms were lovely, clean and well equipped and the ensuite bathroom had a lovely deep bath and power shower was great. We all ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night and the standard of food... more

We stayed at Lanes for a Weekend Break on their dinner inclusive terms in early October. The website gives the impression of a country house hotel in a small village but, apart from the facade, this is actually a modern, black and white, glass and steel hotel which is almost urban in feel. Don't be put off by this though,... more

A lovely hotel with great food. I found the staff to be extremely helpful - on arrival I was showed to my room and my bag was carried for me. The room was in a seperate building with access control so as a lone female traveller I felt safe. The room was large and airy, although it felt a bit... more

A wonderful village close to Yeovil. The entrance is grand but how did they get the planning consent to put all the modern buildings in this delightful setting, not much thought I am afraid. However the hotel and rooms are excellent and very clean. There is need for a formal reception area, the desk in the main area is not... more

Great Hotel I will start with the only bad thing is that I find the Staff A little Grumpy at times More So in The Restaurant than anywhere else. I belive they bring staff from sister hotel to help out and maybe they are not so sensitive to the Lanes guest... But Always enjoy a night at Lanes it became... more

I've been lucky enough to stay here a number of times. Very friendly hotel perfect for a business stay (which mine tend to be), but would be an ideal getaway! Lovely large rooms, delicious food, friendly staff and owner! Benefits from a small sauna and jacuzzi for any free time and free wifi for work. I have no hesitation to... more

Stayed here for a weekend recently after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor, and have to say I agree with most of them. We had a lovely room in the new building complete with balcony, and all the other extras people have mentioned. It was the hottest weekend of the year and, whilst the balcony was most welcome, the lack... more

I stayed at the Lanes for a 2 day business trip. It was a very nice stay. The room was updated and modern with a DVD player. There was a decent workout room with new workout equipment. Breakfast was included. The restaurant had a great selection of food. Although service was a little slow. I will definitely stay here again. more

have stayed here twice now, as a base for seeing the Dorset coast. It's about 45 mins from the sea but the standard of rooms and food for the price makes it worth the extra drive. my wife and I plus our 10 year daughter have stayed both in the old part of the hotel, which is beautiful, and also... more
