Stayed here for a week in July.Enjoyed my visit, the hotel was generally clean and tidy. The grounds were well kept; there were a few hanging baskets around but no summer bedding etc.There was a bbq on the Wednesday of my stay; £2 item ( burger, kebabs etc) or some of everything for ten pounds a head. Myself and a friend visited Wolverhampton earlier this month and chose to stay at The Mount Hotel which appears on their website as a beautiful architectural and historic building, full of character and quality. This hotel seemed average to begin with and was ok, until we were at a function in the bar area. The area was far too small, there was dust on some of the tables and carpets not clean. We booked a cheap room through Late Rooms £50 for B&B as this was the nearest hotel to a party we were attending. The room was ok - large with large bed and two chairs. Stayed for a family wedding, in brief: Shower was scorching and couldn't turn the temp down, it was filthy and some of they holes in the shower head were blocked by grime. We booked by phone. When we arrived the lawn was unmown flower beds abandonded. Inside was dirty; old swirly carpets that used to inhabit old midlands pubs.
