I've stayed in quite a few hotels recently on my travels ranging from those that struggled to get 3 stars from me up to those that it was easy to award 5 stars to. Last week, I stayed in the Paris Concorde Opera with a €550-a-night tariff and can't quite remember the layout of the room. Three weeks ago I... More

Took my Mum and Dad and shared a family room with a separate bathroom which was for our exclusive use, felt like we had the sole use of one wing of the house. Stayed one night, when we left next morning My Mum said "well that's another thing off my 'bucket list', l have always wanted to stay in an... More

Very good place to spend a night. The furnishings are a lifetime collection, the beds are comfy and the breakfasts are lovely. Tina the host is a great person to host a hotel. There are no facilities onsite for food or drink (it feels more like a grand B&B). The Old Mitre pub down the road is a ggod place... More

A lovely surprise, but old-school b&b but a few tiny niggles that only very anal people will care about. V friendly and breakfast like a 5 star hotel. Loved it.

What can we say, this quintessentially victorian building was a delight. We spent a very comfortable night. The service was excellent and breakfast delicious. We would not hesitate to use this hotel again. Good value for money.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as we had a concert in wolverhampton. It is a lovely hotel that oozed character. it took us sometime to find it but a quick phone call to tina and she helped us find the hotel. on arrival we were shown 2 rooms which we could choose from! That definitely doesn't happen... More

Lovely building and gardens - excellent host - great breakfast and attention to detail that sadly lacking in most modern hotels. If you need a place to stay north of Birmingham just off the M6 then this is the only place. I have staying inn many places in this area and none are as good.

Stayed here as part of an extended family group. Couldn't praise it enough.Bedroom was really comfortable. The house is so interesting and original. Tina is wonderful and the food fab. We came for a family wedding in the area. Tina made us all feel so welcome. It was more like staying in a friend's house than a B&B.

We stayed here only one night, just a stopover on a long journey by road. We had originally thought of staying at a travel lodge, but the prices were scarcely any cheaper so we decided to look for somewhere independent, and we were not disappointed! We had emailed the hotel beforehand to say that we would be arriving close to... More
