For the price the hotel was fine -only complaint was that although all our colleagues had a full length mirror on wardrobe door, ours didn't have one. (Not really a problem!) Clean rooms, bathrooms cleaned daily, with nice white, fluffy towels which were changed every day. Reception staff were very friendly - we didn't have breakfast as the charge was... more

There are a couple of good points about the Connaught, location couldn't be beaten (we stayed after a night at the races), the bed was big (well it would be, it was two singles pushed together) and the sheets were clean and fresh. Oh, and for £37.50 a night, the room as an ok size. Unfortunately, the good points end... more

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is smelly, dirty and in need of either complete refurbishment or demolition. The website describes the rooms as contemporary, only if your contemporaries normally sleep in a gutter. Best western would be well advised to come and stay here and then decide if they still want to put their name to it. On... more

Me and my mate booked a twin to save driving back to Brum after a Civic gig. Despite the slightly damp smell in the reception, for £35 it was fine. 20 minute stroll up to the Civic, 30 minute stagger back later, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a simple but clean place to get your ringing ears... more

Just come back from our third stay in the Connaught and we could not ask for a better place to stay in Wolverhampton. We often travel from London to Wolverhampt to watch the Wolves and visit family. The first time we stayed I had broken my foot and so the reception staff happily ammended my booking so that we were... more

Booked last minute through hotel and got a decent deal. Only stayed for 1 night as went to see a concert in the civic. I was not excpecting luxury for what i paid but at least clean sheets, toilet roll and maybe carpets not to be stained!!! We though the room was no en-suite but on inspection if you opened... more

Came to Wolverhampton for Tough Guy '09 with my family and ran into some of the same problems previous reviewers had with the Punjabi Wolves party. We booked through Travelocity and reserved a room with one double and one singe for three adults. After wading through the sea of people, we checked in and were sent to a room that... more

My stay at the Best Western was very delightful and I was very happy with my bedroom especially the huge bathroom which I could tell was new. WIFI was available throughout the hotel. I had a delicious meal at the hotel's restaurant which served both English and Indian cuisine. The restaurant was busy for a saturday night so I had... more

Have stayed in manys a hotel over the years and this ranks as the worst Ive ever stayed in. I would urge anyone considering a stay here to look elsewheres. We were merely looking for a place to lay our heads and a minimum level of comfort on this particular trip. What we got was a joke. Totally substandard in... more
