I've driven past this place for nearly 20 years, but have just stayed here for the first time as it had an excellent weekdday rate - £59.00 room only. The hotel is being tastefully modernised. All the new areas are great - reception, restaurant, hallways etc. The leisure club is well presented and has good facilities. The bedrooms are pretty... more

Stayed here not out of choice but because it was near where I needed to be - it looked OK from the name but the bathroom had mold on the tiles and some tiles were coming off! Decor was like something from a horror film (you could imagine small children on bikes pedalling round). Bar was nice and food good... more

You don't expect to find a big chain hotel in the middle of a business park (well I didn't) but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was spot on. If you need a hotel between Manchester and LIverpool then this one would do very nicely. more

The DeVere... sounds exotic, but turn off the M56 and you'll find a business park like thousands of others around the country and a hotel stuck in the middle. The reception looks nice; the staff friendly and the place has a rasonable feel to it, but wipe that smile off your face becuase you are about to take the 'walk... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a short break. From the outside the hotel looks very impressive. Our room was clean and tidy but perhaps the furniture could be described as a little tired. Nevertheless it was more than adequate for our needs (I do agree with a previous reviewer about the threadbare carpet being a potential... more

Stopped at the Devere (room 148), room was below average. Threadbare carpets on the way to the room, which appear to be close to a Health & safety issue. Furniture quite old, bathroom tiles loose & covered in black mold, paint cracked and falling. Shower head was disgusting. Cobwebs in the corners. There is some form of ledge above the... more

I was lucky enough to snap up a couple of nights on one of the promotions that De Vere run from time to time for £10 rooms, and despite only being about 30 miles from home thought it would be nice for a brief getaway for me, my partner and son. I had read some less than favourable reviews but... more

My family and I stayed at this hotel for three days, two small children. Reception staff were very good and the food in the restaraunt was divine. Hotel totally let down by the accomodation and those who maintained it. Room was absolutely disgraceful, very dirty. This was mentioned on day one, day two and day three and nothing was ever... more

We stayed here for a soul night in May. The staff were excellent and nothing was to much trouble. The room was nice, the only down side was I don' t feel it was cleaned as well as it could have been.Lovely grounds that the hotel were in. The breakfast was plentiful. All in all a good stay and I... more

We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children and managed to get s special deal for £69.00 (room only). We spent the day in Chester culminating in dinner at a lovely Spanish restaurant, La Tasca. We arrived at Daresbury Park, a well positioned hotel standing in lovely grounds just off the M56. We were met by a young... more
