This hotel was already tired 8 years ago when I last stayed (still Premier Inn at that time) and is even worse now. It’s not filthy but it’s not exactly clean either - I didn’t want to leave anything down on the surfaces. My room was very noisy on the ground floor with people in the room above walking around. It has a car park and the staff were OK, so awarded 3*.

Visit the waterside at least once a week. However I ordered the camembert and when it arrived it t was burnt and not much cheese left, so I sent it back. The second one arrived and wasn't much better. No one came to ask if it was ok and after an hour of finishing no one even came to clear the plate. On looking at both they had definitely been microwaved and not baked, which shouldn't be the case. Would like a reply as reading other reviews they only seem to reply when it's a good one, never an apology for bad food or service.

Experience ruined by parking fine both myself and father in law received through post. We BOTH followed advice at reception and input our registration numbers. We still recieved fines. Upon calling restaurant we was advised that they are aware of issues that people may still be fined even when registration entered. But we have to send proof of booking/payments for them to have cancelled. Why do we have to supply these details to have an error on the restaurants and parking companies behalf corrected?

We booked short notice for breakfast on Saturday. On arrival the venue was beautifully clean and felt very festive. Greeted by a lovely lady Adele who explained breakfast and seated us. We order full English and eggs benedict with asparagus. The continental was also available to take advantage off coffee, tea etc. My husband was offered latte orca cpacino as an extra, we chatted to Adele and she was a wonderful host. The place was quiet, warm, welcoming and we will be back regularly Thankyoi Adele & Staff Louise

Room was comfortable, plenty of space to move about and store items. Great that I had a choice to shower or have a bath in my room. Good idea that the tv is on the wall opposite bed to give you choice to sit at desk or lie in bed to view. Staff were very kind & courteous in reception and also in the pub where I had my breakfast which was included in stay. Had of the choice of continental breakfast items and also a hot breakfast item such as full English, I had scrambled eggs on toast, which was cooked to order for you.

The hotel looks beautiful on the outside however this was not replicated with our room. The bathroom was in a sorry state of disrepair and dirty. There were toenails on the carpet. When we took the bedding off before leaving, the mattress had blood stains and the duvet had lots of what looked like urine stains.

This hotel is filthy. The bathroom is a health hazard I didn't take off my coat and left as soon as I could book another hotel. I could have asked for another room, but I sensed the whole hotel was as bad as the room I had I will stick to premier Inn when in Warrington.

We booked a twin room here on the 23rd of September for a friends birthday party. On check in we discovered we didn’t have twin rooms so asked the man on reception if we could me moved whilst we went for a drink in the bar. On return we had been moved to room 6 but my friends luggage was still upstairs in another room. The room allocated was a family room meaning one of us was sleeping on the child’s bed. We entered the room, which was badly painted and tired and started to get ready to go out. It was then I discovered dried sick on the floor next to the side of bed and die the side of the bed. When leaving for our party I complained to reception about the sleeping arrangements the tiredness of the room and the sick. I thought the room rate of £108 was too much for what we had been given and asked that a manager look at this. There was no manager in until Monday so he wrote my details down. On return from our party we were told we’d been given another room, however, it was midnight, we had been drinking and the prospect of moving all our belongings wasn’t appealing. The next day we went for breakfast, we were taken to a table and told they would come and take our order. After 20 minutes or so, my friend had to go looking for the waitress instead, she apologised and took our order. The order came and my friend was given the wrong food. On check out I was assured the manager would ring me on Monday, Monday came and went. I rang the hotel on Tuesday to complain that I hadn’t been called back. By this point I’d stayed in another hotel in Harrogate for £105 and it was immaculate, with modern decoration and great service in comparison. I told the receptionist I wanted a refund or reduction in room rate and he apologised and said the manager would call me back the next day. We are now a week on and I still have not had a phone call. The hotel can be compared to a dirty run down travel lodge at best. Run by people who do not care about customer service or repeat business. I will never stay there again.…
