Wallingford is an interesting town with a wealth of history and old architecture to see. Well worth a day wandering around it's sites and have lunch on the bank of the River Thames. I stayed here in December 2004. I was extremely disappointed considering how expensive the hotel was. The food was particularly wretched. Hopefully things will have improved since then, but i would not want to try it at the prices charged. more
