We stayed at Hotel Endsleigh for 3 nights in late June. The location is superb, the staff very friendly and professional and the whole experience was wonderful. We stayed at the Gatekeeper's lodge (very comfortable bed - loved the bathroom). This was our first trip with our 3 month son and the staff were very attentive to our needs. A... more

We stayed at The Endsleigh in May. Probably the best time to visit as the azaleas and rhododendrons fill the stunning valley with colour. We had great weather, so could enjoy lazing around on the lawn with a paper, wandering around the landscaped grounds, lying on a rock in the river or simply sitting at a table outside gawping at... more

Let's start with the reviews that gave 5 out of 5 but only in as much as location and ambience which were both truly stunning - what a wonderful begining to our two day break! A young and very attentive porter took our luggage to room 14 and on our arrival was as stunned as we were; the very quaint... more

We stayed in room 16 for 2 nights. A stunning room with a deep stand alone bath in the wooded floor room. a walk through to another room with a huge luxury bed & walk in wardrobe up some stairs. The window let in the sun in the morning and what a beautiful place to wake up in! The hotel... more

We spent four nights at Hotal Endsleigh in what we had booked as a "suite", actually it turned out to be a sitting room, not very large, a bedroom and a huge bathroom no-one could complain about, but not interconnecting but off a corridor up a staircase any other person could access. Not so good if you want to go... more

I must own up to being an agent who regularly stays in hotels around the world for the benefit of my clients, nice job but somebody has to do it! I have also managed hotels and thus have an insight on how hotels should be run and managed. I have stayed at the Treseanton (sister hotel) on many occasions and... more

This is a great small-scale historic house (in the cottage orne style - think Wyatville) set in what must be the most spectacular location in the South West. A real "house" feel. Welcoming to children and, more importantly, to dogs, but without this feeling as though these significant undertakings would effect any guests' experience. Extraordinary food surpassing most top-notch London... more

The best thing about this property, is it's location - in the middle of the Devon countryside bordering a large park and alongside a river. Unfortunately, we arrived late in the day and had to leave early the next morning. I would have like to have explored the area around the hotel better. The building itself was magnificent - an... more

There is no denying that the Hotel Endsleigh is beautiful and set in the most amazing landscape, that accepted I must say it wasn't quite what I I expected or hoped for in terms of all over experience and thought it might be useful to share why. We booked from the Mr and Mrs Smith website and having tried a... more

There is a lot to like here - the property and gardens, as outlined by others below, are superb. It is like a cut-price version of Villa Feltrinelli by Lake Garda, which is meant as a compliment - and if you like Endsleigh, you should certainly try Feltrinelli. We had Room 1, the largest suite (£380). This comes with a... more
