Located a few miles outside Tavistock, this is a lovely and comfortable B&B. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-decorated, with fresh flowers in each room. Breakfast was ample, featuring local eggs and meat products. Large sitting room for the B&B guests, with loads of local information. Judith and Peter were delightful hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them... more

Peter & Judith made us most welcome and provided excellent accommodation. Tavistock is very pretty and the park is of course a long-time favourite. This is also a great jumping off point for travel into Cornwall (as it is a stone's throw away across the Tamar River nearby). Higher Woodley Bed and Breakfast is on a farm near Tavistock. The setting is lovely and very quiet and Peter and Judith have thought of everything that makes for a comfortable stay. Guests have their own drawing room with a fireplace, television, and more maps, books, and guides than one could ever use. Breakfast is uncommonly thoughtful and delightfully presented.... more
