We booked into this bed and breakfast in Salcombe, Devon as a last minute trip for the August bank holiday. We were told about this B&B following an unfruitful search on the internet, as everywhere else was booked up and Trennels had no website presence.
When entering the B&B, the first thing that hits you is the smell of damp. You're then taken to your room which looks like something out of the BBC program Life on Mars due to the cheap 1970's decor. Where do I start...the windows were metal, the blankets (no duvet) were wafer thin, the TV constantly flickers, the shower points at the wall and not you, the toilet have some sort of waste disposal system fitted which had the benefit of informing the whole building when you used it.
After 2 nights of cold and seagulls landing on the roof we moved out, and into a normal B&B which we'd subsequently found....bliss. more
